Baby Bella

This little girl was so incredibly sweet.  Her mom and I went to HS many....many years ago and haven't seen each other since then.  So we were trying to catch up on the last 10+ years, snap photos of Bella and entertain her 2 year old all at the same time :)  Overall, I think it was a success.  Bella was actually in the NICU for a few weeks and had just gotten out when we took these photos.  Congratulations Lindsey on such a beautiful little girl!!

 While Lindsey was trying to calm Bella down, I decided to snap a few pictures of what we did to entertain Nicholas......you guessed it!  Suckers...what every 2 year old wants ;) 

Yes, I do believe he was laughing at us ;)

Baby Nixon-Newborn Session

Nixon was such a great baby and I had so much fun photographing him.  MiShelle, his mom kept putting a smile on my face throughout the session.  I think I heard her say at least a couple dozen times, "I love this baby."  The miracle of a baby and the love that a mother has for her child is amazing!   Their entire family is beautiful inside and out.  Thanks for the opportunity to capture some of these 'beginnings'

Emmett-Newborn Session

I have to say that these two make the most beautiful babies.  I was so excited to drive to Ogden and meet little Emmett and see his amazing mom.  Jesenia is one of my best friends and since we graduated HS, we have never lived in the same city (or state for that matter) in the last 10 years. (okay it is more than 10 but we will keep it there...) ;)   Now we are only a little over an hour away from each other and it has been fun to see her.  You know those kind of friends that you can go years without seeing each other, months without talking and yet you feel like you never missed a beat?  That is how it is for us and I love it.  Those are rare and few in between and I am grateful for such an amazing friend!

Emmett is beautiful and sweet.  He never wanted to sleep, unless he was in his moms' arms and snuggled in tight to her.  He was just barely two weeks and you can see he is a bright eyed and a very observant baby already.  I loved every minute of this session.  Can't wait to take their family photos in a few months so you can see her girls as well!  They are little heart throbs already!!  Thank you Jesenia for an amazing opportunity to feel this sweet baby's spirit.  Truly a gift from God!

Emmerson

So I am not afraid to admit things, but I never wanted to do infant photography.  I love photographing children, couples, weddings, and families but babies made me a little bit more nervous.  One, I am a natural light photographer and don't have a studio and let's be honest, most newborns/infants are photographed in a studio. However; one of my BF called me and asked me to take some pictures of her niece.  I was hesitant at first but knowing I would be around good company I thought it would be a great time to try it out.  All I can say is I love it! I wanted to snuggle Emmerson more than anything ;)  None of these pictures were taken in a studio.  I arrived in AZ and we found a nice window and put our sweet angle in front of that and snapped away.  She seriously was a beautiful, perfect angel for us and now I have 3 newborn shoots booked in the next month ;)  My only request is that I get to snuggle them at the end of the session....
